Dev Bhoomi Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is a state in India with a mountainous terrain. It is bordered on the north by Jammu and Kashmir, on the west by Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, on the south by Uttarakhand, and on the east by Tibet. If the literal definition of ‘Himachal Pradesh’ is understood, it refers to the snowy mountainous region. Dev Bhoomi is another name for Himachal Pradesh.

The Sutlej River, which originates in Tibet, flows through the eastern part of the state. The Chenab (Chandra-Bhaga), Ravi, and Beas rivers, which originate in the Great Himalayas, flows through the western half of Himachal Pradesh.

Shimla, the state capital and one of the country’s largest and most popular mountain resorts, was the summer headquarters of pre-independence British viceroys. It is now the state capital and, at an elevation of about 7,100 feet (2,200 meters), one of the country’s largest and most popular mountain resorts.

The Aryan influence in Himachal Pradesh is thought to predate the Rig Veda. It was governed by the British after the Anglo-Gorkha war. It was a part of the state of Punjab until 1857, when Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab ruled. In 1950, the state was designated as a Union Territory, but on January 25, 1971, it was elevated to the rank of the eighteenth state of India through the Himachal Pradesh State Act, 1971.

The State of Himachal Pradesh Act was passed by Parliament on December 18, 1970, and the new state was established on January 25, 1971. With Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar as its first chief minister, Himachal Pradesh became the Indian Union’s 18th state.

Himachal Pradesh is a state in western Himalayas that is regarded as the home of gods and goddesses. In Himachal Pradesh, there are numerous historic stone and wood temples. Himachal Pradesh is known for its culture and customs. Himachal appears to be composed of melodic music by its high-rise mountains, glaciers, shaded valleys, and massive pine trees, furious rivers, and unique fauna.

Himachal Pradesh’s population is composed of ethnic groups and social castes from all over the world. Gaddi (Gaddi), Gujari, Kinnauri, Lahuli, and Pangwali are some of the most well-known ethnic groups. Since India’s independence in 1947, a large number of Punjabi immigrants have settled in major cities.

The main languages are Hindi (the official state language) and Pahari. Both languages are Indo-Aryan. However, in Lahaul and Spiti, as well as Kinnaur, the most widely spoken languages are Sino-Tibetan.

Although Buddhists dominate in the sparsely populated districts of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur, which both share a border with Tibet, the vast majority of the population is Hindu. Sikhs, Muslims, and Christians are among the state’s small ethnic groups.
